Professional Background

I have more than nine years of experience in sheet metal fabrication and currently serve as operations manager for a shop in Modesto, California. I oversee more than 1,400 laser and sheet metal projects annually, covering pricing, quoting, scheduling, and workflow. I also manage purchasing of more than 600 tons of sheet metal each year and train staff on production software and procedures. My focus is keeping production on schedule, costs under control, and customers coming back.

Before becoming operations manager, I spent five years as operations coordinator for the same company, handling quoting, scheduling, nesting, and purchasing. I began in the industry as a laser nester, programming laser-cutting jobs and tracking finished parts on the shop floor.

In between, I spent several years as a self-employed IT consultant, supporting networks and systems for local businesses.

My working life began with seasonal farm work in Washington, harvesting peppermint and wheat straw. Outside of business, I serve on my church's safety and maintenance teams and am training in biblical teaching and public speaking.
