Professional Background

With more than nine years of experience in sheet metal fabrication, I serve as operations manager for a fabrication shop in Modesto. I oversee more than 1,400 projects each year, from quoting and scheduling through production. I also manage the purchasing of roughly 600 tons of material annually and train staff on production software and procedures. My focus is keeping production on schedule, costs under control, and customers coming back.

My working life started with seasonal farm work in Washington State, harvesting peppermint. I entered the fabrication industry as a laser nester with my current employer, programming laser-cutting jobs to minimize waste and tracking finished parts on the shop floor. I then left for three years to work as a self-employed IT consultant, supporting networks and systems for local businesses, before returning as an operations coordinator. After five years assisting with production logistics, I was promoted to operations manager.

Outside Work

I serve on my church's safety and maintenance teams and am training in biblical teaching and public speaking. I enjoy spending time with family and friends and hiking in the mountains.
